Enlargeosome mediated neurite outgrowth was reduced in DKO hippocampal neurons. Hippocampal neurons were isolated from E18.5 DHET, DKO, Vti1a^−/− Vti1b^+/− and Vti1a^{+/ -} Vti1b^−/− embryos and cultivated for 15 h followed by an incubation with or without 60 μM Y27632 for 3 h.
