The differences in timing of gc production are attenuated between zones in En1 +/− ;En2 −/− mutants. The percentage of gcs produced at P6, P10 and P14 in wild type (WT, same animals as in Fig. 3) and En1 +/− ;En2 −/− mutants (mt) was calculated as in Fig. 3 (100 % - the percentage of the ML that was labeled) in lobules 3, 7, 8–9 (8 and 9 were combined in the controls since they are fused in the mutants) and 10. p-values of Tukey’s (for lobule comparisons) and Sidak’s (for genotype comparisons) post-hoc multiple comparisons tests following ANOVA are shown when significant (See Additional file 1: Tables S4)
