(A) At E16.5, adrenal medulla (white arrowhead) and cortex (asterisk) as well as suprarenal ganglion (black arrowhead) are largely segregated as shown by ISH for DBH. While ganglionic neurons display strong mRNA signals for (B) NF-M, (C) NF-L, (D) Snap25 and (E) Syt1, adrenal chromaffin cells lack these markers except for weak (D) Snap25 signals.
